My favorite charity is St Jude. Each of the past 5 years I have bought a $100 ticket as a chance to win the St. Jude Dream Home in Bossier City, LA. Of course, the home is the big prize, but there are lots of lesser prizes that I could have won and I didn't. Oh well, it costs a million dollars a day to run St. Jude and the families of those children never have to pay one penny. They are furnished a place to stay, transportation to Memphis, food.....anything they might need, so I am always proud to be a small part of furnishing that service for troubled families. I can think of nothing worse than having a child sick enough to need St. Jude.

Hi Sandy,
I happened upon your blog from a comment you left on a blog that I have been reading for well over a year now. I too am impressed with St. Jude. My son worked in stem cell research and gene therapy at St. Jude in Memphis for 4 yrs. It is quite an impressive facility. You will not find one small piece of trash on their grounds.Every office chair match, everything is high tech and top notch.Along the way,I too, found and corrected by my son, that it is St. Jude rather than St. Jude's. I am only saying this as it is a common occurance, but anyone connected with St. Jude will quickly correct us. :)
I have bookmarked your blog, as I find it interesting. Thanks for your time. God Bless!
Thank you for pointing out that it is St Jude, rather than St. Jude's. I will correct that. Thanks for your comments.
