I knew last night that I would be waiting by the phone today for a call from a friend who is in a hospital in Shreveport. She didn't call until 1:30 for me to come get her from the hospital. The wheels in every hospital apparently turn slowly. After I got there at 2:30, we waited almost an hour for the wheelchair to take her down to my car. This is a very small hospital, which I had never been to, and they only had 12 patients on her floor. How hard can it be to find a wheelchair in a hospital!!!! Shouldn't there always be a few on stand-by?????? Anyway, I got her home, but she has to go back to the hospital tomorrow for another procedure. Her husband will be available tomorrow to take her back. She felt really bad that I had to come get her and then have to wait. It certainly wasn't her fault and it didn't really bother me.
